Cuba, which is often described as a country of collective fun and vacation, has the highest suicide rate of all Latin America. Prostitution and illegal abortion are the lot of an enormous number of young women. Cuba Libre is an attempt to denounce this state of things, give witnesses the chance to speak out, and favour symbolic public adoption of jailed dissidents
