For whom tolls the Iranian Bell? Simple is the answer: for us all, democrats all the world over. Islamism (as ideology, not to be confused with the Islamic religion) is the new tolitarianism for the XXI Century. Islamism: after nazism and communism, this mixture of dogmatic interpretation of the holy texts, messianism, violence, despise for jewish, women and “weak people”, political dictatorship, secret police, one-party system, support to terrorism, collectivism, is the totalitarian menace for all free people. The bell tolls for Barak Obama, unable to understand the menace till the bloody results of these hours along the streets of Teheran. Tolls for us European, far from the simple truth that free market and common rights can’t be achieved under the frightening menace of bombs and dictatorships. Tolls for Israel, so near to the volcano’s mouth. Tolls for the countries with majority Islamic culture, whose governements are directly threatened by Al Qaeda. Tolls for all free people of the world, which will remain less free till pasdaran, talibans, Hezbollah and other groups will remain active. Tolls for pacifists anti-Bush, who will not understand what’s happening till some enemy hand will knock at their doors. The Freedom Committees are at side of every Iranian woman or man fighting for Freedom. You are not alone: if the islamists are on war with us, we are, with our free minds, in war with them.
